Booking questions
Booking is easier when the artist has the right details from the start. A clear idea, a few reference images, and the placement help me give better guidance.
How do I book a tattoo appointment?
Visit my contact page, there is an appointment request form with fields for you to fill out, read the directions and be as thorough as possible when describing your idea.

Do I need to know exactly what I want?
Not necessarily. A clear direction is enough. You can share the subject, style, size, and placement you have in mind. I can then help shape the idea into something that works well as a tattoo.

Design questions:
A good tattoo design needs to work on skin, fit the body, and age as well as possible. The artist may adjust the idea so it looks clean and readable over time.
Can you copy another artist’s tattoo?
A tattoo can be inspired by a style, subject, or mood, but it should not be copied exactly from another artist’s work. Reference images are helpful, but the final design should be custom for you. For simpler designs (e.g, a heart, a symbol, numbers) it’s understandable to want it exactly as a photo shows. We will use our best judgement together to keep other artists work safe while making sure you get the tattoo youre looking for.
Bring references for direction, not for exact copying!
When will I see the design?
Many artists including myself show the design close to the appointment date or at the appointment. This helps keep the design process focused. Simple changes can often be made before tattooing starts.
If I do send photos of the drawing prior to the appointment, it will be heavily modified to protect my art from being stolen and brought to another artist.
Can I make changes to the design?
Yes. Small changes are normal. Tell me what you’d like changed before the tattoo starts. Bigger changes may need more drawing time and could require a new appointment, but im happy to do same day changes when I can.
What if I am unsure about placement?
I can help. Placement affects the shape, size, and flow of the tattoo. Some designs work better on flat areas. Others look better when they follow the body’s natural lines.

Can you tattoo over scars?
Yes, however It depends on the scar, how old it is, the texture, and the design. I may need to see the area first. Scar cover-ups often need a flexible design plan.
Appointment prep questions
A little preparation makes the appointment smoother. The basics are simple: eat, hydrate, dress comfortably, and arrive on time.
What should I do before my appointment?
Eat a solid meal before you arrive. Drink water. Avoid alcohol before the appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the tattoo area. Bring a valid form of ID (eg. Drivers License, Passport)

Can I drink alcohol before my tattoo?
Please avoid alcohol before your appointment. It can affect the session and may lead to a reschedule. Come in clear, hydrated, rested, and ready.
What should I wear?
Wear loose, comfortable clothes that can expose the area being tattooed. For a thigh tattoo, wear shorts. For a shoulder or upper arm tattoo, wear a tank top or loose shirt. If we are tattooing a hard-to-reach or more revealing area, contact me before hand and I will provide suggestions based on your specific appointment.
Dark clothing is a safe choice in case ink gets on it.
Can I bring someone with me?
I am all for a support system. Be mindful of how many guests come along because space is limited and my focus matters. One or two is best.
How long will my tattoo take?
Time depends on size, detail, placement, and how the skin responds. A small tattoo may be quick. Larger pieces can take several hours or multiple sessions. I can give a general estimate before the appointment.
Pain and comfort questions
Pain is one of the most common tattoo questions. The answer is different for everyone, but most clients handle it better than they expect.
Does getting tattooed hurt?
Yes, tattoos hurt, but the feeling is usually manageable. Some areas feel sharper than others. Bony spots, ribs, feet, and inner arms can feel more intense. Fleshier areas are often easier.
Can I use numbing cream?
I prefer you not to use it because it can affect the skin and the tattoo process. Do not apply anything without checking with me first.
What if I need a break?
Say something. Short breaks are normal during longer sessions. It is better to speak up than to sit through a moment where you feel lightheaded or uncomfortable.
Your comfort matters deeply to me.
What if I feel nervous?
That is normal. Tell me before the session starts. I can explain the steps, check in with you, and help you feel more settled.
Simple reminder: You do not have to act tough. Clear communication helps both you and I.
Healing and aftercare questions
Aftercare helps the tattoo heal cleanly and keeps the design looking its best. Follow any instructions given at your appointment since aftercare can vary by bandage type, skin type, and tattoo style. General aftercare info is linked on my blog page.
How do I take care of my new tattoo?
Follow the aftercare instructions linked on my blog page. In general, keep the tattoo clean, avoid picking or scratching, and use only the recommended amount of aftercare product. Do not soak the tattoo while it is healing.
Can I shower after getting tattooed?
Yes, but keep it gentle. Do not soak the tattoo. Avoid baths, pools, hot tubs, and swimming until the tattoo is healed. Pat the area dry with a clean towel.
Is peeling normal?
Yes. Light peeling and flaking can be normal during healing. Do not pick at it. Let the skin shed on its own.
Can I work out after a tattoo?
This is based on the tattoo’s size and placement. Heavy sweating, friction, and tight clothing can irritate a fresh tattoo. Give the area time to calm down, when in doubt, check with me!
When is my tattoo fully healed?
The surface may look healed before the deeper skin has fully settled. Healing time varies by person and tattoo. Follow aftercare until the tattoo feels smooth and settled.

Pricing and payment questions
Pricing depends on the design, size, placement, detail, and time needed. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to send clear details before booking, if you have a budget in mind, make sure to include that in your appointment request!
How much will my tattoo cost?
The price depends on the tattoo. Size, detail, placement, color, and session time all matter. A small simple tattoo will usually cost less than a large custom piece. Send your idea and placement for an estimate. My minimum for anything is $80, unless I am running discounted pieces that state otherwise, or on flash days like Friday the 13th.
Can I reschedule?
Usually, yes, with enough notice. If you need to move your appointment, message as soon as possible. No call/No shows will result in a required deposit to rebook. Emergencies happen and I understand. Just be communicative.
Should I tip?
Tips are appreciated but not required . If you are happy with the work and the experience, tipping is a kind way to say thank you!
